How to Play Kittee Familee
A fast, funny matching card game for the whole familee. Build your Purr Pile, watch the Litter Pile, and match the cards to get the most points to win. One deck plays 2–6 in about 15 minutes — add more decks for more players and more chaos!
The Objective
Match the cards to get the most points and win! Pair up Kittee characters from your hand and place them into your Purr Pile. Draw from the unseen Fluffy Pile, discard to the face-up Litter Pile, and play Action Cards to shake up the game. When all the cards run out, everyone adds up their Purr Pile points — biggest score wins.
How a Game Works
Deal the cards
The dealer shuffles and deals each player their hand — 4 cards with 1 deck, 5 with 2 decks, 6 with 3, 7 with 4. Keep your cards secret!
Set up the piles
The rest of the deck goes face-down in the middle as the Fluffy Pile. Flip the top card face-up beside it to start the Litter Pile.
Take your turn
Do ONE thing: pick up from the Litter Pile to make a pair, play an Action Card, put down a matching pair into your Purr Pile, or pick up from the Fluffy Pile.
Keep your hand topped up
Always end your turn with the same number of cards you started with — pick up from the Fluffy Pile to top up after playing pairs.
Build your Purr Pile
Pairs of Kittees score 2 points. Match a pair with an already-matched pair for a full set of 4 and a bonus point. A pair of Action Cards scores 5.
Play to the end
When the Fluffy and Litter piles run out, play Go Cat with the cards left in hands until every pair is matched. Then count up — biggest score wins!
The Cards
Kittee character cards
44 cards per deck — 4 each of 11 unique Kittees. Pair them up in your Purr Pile: each pair is 2 points, a full set of 4 scores a bonus point (5 total).
Action cards
5 per deck: 2 Gamechangers, 2 Movement and 1 Bonus. Play one to shake up the game, or bank a pair in your Purr Pile for 5 points.
Feed Me Now card
The special Bonus card. Keep it in your hand until the end of the game — it lands in your Purr Pile for 5 bonus points.
Good to Know
Calculating points
Each pair of Kittees = 2 points (1 card = 1 point). A pair of Action Cards = 5 points. A full Kittee set of 4 = 5 points. A Feed Me Now card in your Purr Pile = 5 bonus points. Biggest total wins!
Go Cat
Similar to Go Fish — ask another player for a card. If they have it, they hand it over; if not, they say Go Cat and play moves on. Used to finish the game once the piles run out.
Playing with more decks
Add decks to add players and chaos — you can match the symbols as well as the Kittees for a more challenging game. See the Symbols to Match leaflet for an easy guide.
House Rules
Play solo as a Memory game, play Go Cat rules, or make up your own way to play. Tie-breaker? Whoever took the last cat nap wins. Never overthink it!
Bonus game
Can you find the little mouse hidden in every picture? A little game within the game — you might need a magnifying glass!
